Multicultural High Top Chucks

Multicultural high top chucks were a seasonal issue for 2006. There were three high top models issued plus a knee high version of the parchment (natural white). The hibiscus red and blueberry models were contrasted with parchment white, while the parchment (natural white) model has red, blue, and orange trim. Multicultural high tops have unique stitching patterns on the canvas uppers, and the Chuck Taylor ankle patch is made entirely out of stitching. There are three rows of stitching under the eyelets and two rows above on the canvas uppers, each in a different color and pattern that is meant to evokes the folklore of historic cultures. The canvas itself is of interest, because each model has textured canvas uppers. The hibiscus and blueberry models are unusual because they have no piping strip where the canvas upper meets the rubber foxing; the parchment white model has the same red and blue piping as the core white models have.
