The Hunter & Holmes Mystery Series |
||||
Since The ChucksConnection commissioned the creation of The Hunter & Holmes Mystery Series in 2008, eight e-books and one graphic novel have been written, illustrated, and published. The mysteries are about two teenagers, Jason Hunter and Daniel Holmes, who become amateur detectives to take on kidnappers, predators, embezzlers, and other criminals who have preyed on them, their friends, and their community. And there is a nice twist to these stories: each detective is an enthusiastic wearer of chucks, and the "chucks club" culture plays a role in the story lines. Designed for readers aged 13 and up, they have appeal to anyone who likes the ‘hobby detective’ mystery format. In addition to the action/adventure and detective work in each mystery, the books explore the worlds of music and sports, and the personal relationships of the main characters, which continue to develop throughout the series. Each book is available in a two-page spread pdf version, which appears on your computer screen or tablet just like a hard cover print book, but with flexible size and interactive bookmarks. Each book is lavishly illustrated with over forty color illustrations by Ricardo Carmona and has a unique graphic design and concept. Some of the books contain bonus features, like musical scores of music Daniel and his band perform.
In addition to their PDF editions, all the books in the series, The Kidnapping, Double Fugue, When The Chips Are Down, Family Matters, Eyewitness News, Days of Destiny, Jason's Network, Troubled Waters and Senior Year, Part 1 are available in epub and mobi editions. Their layout is modified to fit nicely on your mobile device and they contain all the full color illustrations and graphics. The e-books can be ordered here or from Internet bookstores all over the world. Click on the order link for more details about any book or to order an e-book for your device.
