Snoop Dogg is a legend in hip-hop and the culture at large. Larry David is also a legend for co-creating Seinfeld and following it up with Curb Your Enthusiasm. The two of them wouldn’t necessarily feel like a match made in heaven, but leave it to Snoop to combine two worlds no one else could. “Crip Ya Enthusiasm” is a song from Snoop’s 19th studio album and was released on February 11th, 2022 as part of his return to Death Row Records.
East vs. West in a food truck fight.
The beat for this song uses the iconic Curb Your Enthusiasm theme and somehow it actually works. A big part of why that is is Snoop’s versatility and his ability to just naturally fit on any beat. It’s part of the reason why he’s been able to consistently put out new music over the past 30 years. The lyrics really aren’t anything special as it’s all pretty standard Snoop Dogg stuff, but it really doesn’t matter. These days Snoop is just going off of vibes and it really works for him.

The music video is a computer-animated parody of a typical Curb Your Enthusiasm episode but with Snoop Dogg. Snoop starts out by driving his car into a police car, but he isn’t arrested cause the cop is a fan. Snoop then walks to a burrito truck that is being run by Biggie Smalls. He orders and gets his food, but immediately throws it away in front of Biggie who yells at him for being rude. Snoop then makes his way to the world-famous Randy’s Donuts where he meets up with Tupac Shakur. Snoop cuts the line to join Pac, but he is accosted by an old lady he cut in front of. The pair take their donuts around the corner and are robbed at gunpoint. They break for it and Snoop is chased by the gunman but is able to get the gun from him and hold him up. The cops arrive and think Snoop is the aggressor and the lady from before tells the police that Snoop did it. Snoop is arrested and released, and then he heads to Tupac’s for a pool party where they decide to make a rival food truck to Biggie’s. They take the truck to Biggie’s spot, and Pac and Biggie get into an argument. The trucks are destroyed, and Snoop is blamed for everything as the Curb theme plays us out. The parody is really well done. The situations Snoop gets in feel like versions of situations Larry David gets in on the show. The Snoop avatar being a mix of Larry David and Snoop, with Larry’s jacket and glasses and Snoop’s iconic chucks, is also hilarious. However, it being all computer-animated kind of holds the video back as it looks like GTA IV. Seeing live-action Snoop dressed as Larry David and on real sets would’ve been infinitely better.
