Durry is an American indie rock band from Burnsville, Minnesota, that formed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Austin Durry had moved back home to live in his parents’ basement after being a semi-successful musician for twelve years. He reconnected with his younger sister, Taryn, and they started bouncing music ideas off each other, which eventually evolved into this band. They found success with their viral hit “Who’s Laughing Now" and have just released their second album, THIS MOVIE SUCKS, and are embarking on a national tour. The song “Bully” is one of the singles off THIS MOVIE SUCKS, and was released on June 27th, 2025.

The song is about the hate people receive from the Internet and how it takes a toll on them. Durry starts off by stating he is coming from the “real world,” admitting that, sure, some of the stuff said about him is true. He does indeed have hair that looks like a helmet, and he could stand to lose some weight. However, there really isn’t a reason for you, a total stranger, to point it out. It’s not going to make you feel any better, and it just makes you a bully. Durry also believes that no one wants to be the bigger person anymore. It’s a bit bleak, but honestly, it may just be the reality we live in, whether you’re famous or not.

This is who you’re being mean to on the Internet.
The music video begins with a yellow car driving around with its siren lit up. Austin Durry, aka “The Machine”, pops out of what appears to be a broom closet wearing a yellow tracksuit, football pads, a helmet, and black high top chucks. He is wielding a katana, and, with this getup, he looks a lot like a character from Kick-Ass. Taryn Durry, aka “The Enforcer”, is wearing a matching outfit sans helmet and chucks, and the duo patrols the neighborhood, which mostly means getting snacks and doing some sick kicks and tricks. The video hammers home that while Durry may look a bit silly, it really doesn’t matter because they are having fun with each other. This translates to the duo’s entire existence. You can dislike their music and vibe, but at the end of the day, all that matters is that a brother and sister are able to bond over the music they make.
