PinkPantheress is a British singer-songwriter and record producer who has taken the pop world by storm over the past few years. Her hit song “Nice to Meet You” became a staple on TikTok and resulted in a viral trend that was done by countless people, celebrities, and other musicians. Zara Larsson is a Swedish singer and songwriter who originally got her start on the Swedish version of the Got Talent variety show back in 2008. The song “Stateside” was originally the second single from her second mixtape, Fancy That. The remix, “Stateside + Zara Larsson”, is the first and only single from the remix album, Fancy Some More? This version of the song was released on January 16th, 2026.

This version of the track is a remix of Pink’s original “Stateside”, released nearly a year earlier on April 25th, 2025. The song is a big beat and drum and bass track with some R&B elements. Lyrically, it explores what it is like “to be in the early stages of a crush”, and focuses on the drive to get to that person no matter what. This remix’s biggest difference from the original is the vocals and verse from Zara Larsson, as it maintains most of the same musical elements. These two have voices and styles that meld very well together.

The music video was released on January 15th, 2026, and opens with PinkPantheress posing as a mannequin in a store display that is themed after the visuals from her album Fancy That. She is joined inside the store by a group of backup dancers. The color palette is red and cream based with Tartan accents. With her “stateside” backup dancers, it’s no surprise one of them would be wearing some All-American, natural ivory high top chucks. In the store next door, Larsson also acts as a mannequin that is themed around her album, Midnight Sun. Her store is beach and summer themed to match her album’s vibe. The two end up joining forces as their vocals merge, and the video ends with them dancing together. The music video is very 2000s pop-coded and harkens back to some of Christina Aguilera’s video catalog. The bright colors, fast-paced visuals, choreography, and bold outfits make for a fun and engaging video.
