The music video opens with Miley (as Hannah) driving down the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu in a convertible. In the passenger’s seat, she has the suitcase that used to carry her Hannah wig in the show. She sits in the green California hills surrounded by oak trees as she flashes back to her younger self, as she appeared in Hannah Montana: The Movie. Here we see younger Miley wearing chucks and it offers a stark contrast to present Miley. The Miley of today is dressed like a successful adult with tailored clothes, a jacket, and boots, while younger Miley is dressed in jeans, a hoodie, and chucks. This difference in styling shows how far Miley has come in her journey as she looks back on the 20th anniversary of the show. The video concludes with her visiting the old show set and picking up Miley’s wig one last time.
