Those not living in Latin America or familiar with reggaeton music may not know of KAROL G. However, G (born Carolina Giraldo Navarro) is considered one of the most influential reggaeton and urban pop artists of her era, having won awards including a Grammy, eight Latin Grammy Awards, and five Billboard Music Awards. Bruno Mars, meanwhile, needs no introduction, as he is one of the biggest and most universally loved artists of all time. Together, they collaborated on the third single from G’s latest album, No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto. The track “Still” was released on August 11th, 2026, with the music video following a few weeks later on September 2nd, 2026.

Upon its release, “Still” became KAROL G’s first entirely English-language song on one of her albums. She has previously sung entirely in English on a guest appearance on Tiësto’s single, “Don't Be Shy” in 2021, but this was still a momentous track for her crossover into the English-language market. G has said she’d long considered recording music in English but had never actively pursued it. This song changed all that, and Mars would soon agree to participate and contribute to its production. Mars also directed Giraldo’s vocal performance during a recording session, advising her to retain her accent while ensuring the lyrics remained understandable. This collaboration has resulted in a tender and loving ballad that has a similar vibe to the Selena classic “I Could Fall in Love”.

The stage setup for KAROL G’s show at SoFI looks amazing.
G and Mars have performed the track live twice, once at the latter’s Bellagio club, The Pinky Ring, and the other at SoFi Stadium as part of G’s Viajando Por el Mundo Tropitour. The music video for this song was recorded during the rehearsal and performance of the latter. The first half of the video is from early in the day during rehearsal and is shot in black and white. The dreamlike style of filming fits with the longing heard in both Bruno and KAROL G’s vocals. Bruno is wearing Chuck Taylor All Star Platforms, which makes sense considering Bruno is famously very short, and the extra lift gets him to KAROL G’s eye level. The second half of this video is filmed during G’s show at SoFi, and it looks like it was a magical performance that the crowd loved. This video was likely born out of a need to find time to film during their incredibly busy schedules, but the video still showcases the chemistry between the pair.

Get you someone that makes you giggle on a jumbotron.
